The House of Wellbeing

Nikki
Our Story
Hi, I am Nikki and I am the founder of ‘The House of Wellbeing’. I am a qualified Massage Therapist, Integrative Humanistic Counsellor, Lifespan Integration and NLP Practitioner. I have many years of experience working with people therapeutically in a variety of ways and have a passion for understanding people, supporting their wellbeing and offering a space which is truly rewarding and fulfilling.
I started ‘The House of Wellbeing’ as a massage service. At the time, I wanted to offer a space where people felt genuinely cared for, where their needs were listened to and they left my treatment room feeling far better than when they walked in.
I had personally received too many massage treatments which felt rushed and left me feeling unsatisfied. I would book in at a Spa, but found that my scheduled time seemed to disappear quickly and what I thought was my treatment time, actually included my arrival, initial chat and changing time. Before I knew it, my treatment was over, and I was back to my everyday life, not really feeling the benefits of my treatment.
I wanted to do things differently, to offer my clients time to land in the room with me, to have space to talk out any stresses first, to tell me exactly what they wanted from their treatment and for us to build a relationship where the care was genuine and felt.
This has always been my aim when working with people, to ensure that when you walk through the door, you know that you are not just another appointment in the diary, but an individual who has my full focus and care, that I will listen and get to know you as much as I can and offer you something which feels personal to you.
'The House of Wellbeing' continues to grow but I maintain these principles as a core part of my business philosophy.
As time went on, my next step was to team up with my husband; a newly trained sports massage therapist, so we could offer a wider range of treatments and help support more people with differing needs. I then decided to link my counselling business and skills to the services offered here, bringing a different layer of emotional support and trauma awareness to anyone visiting.
I am pleased to say that in my long experience of working with people holistically, I have had the pleasure of meeting other professionals in their own field of wellbeing who share the same passion, motivation and attention to detail as I do. Having made some long-standing connections with people who I now know and trust, I have decided to expand the services offered here even further. Allowing this is be a place where people can truly get a team of holistic professionals who are experienced and dedicated to the work in their field, allowing ‘The House of Wellbeing’ to provide support for the needs of so many more in a variety of different ways.
Personally now, I am taking maternity leave until the beginning of 2028 and am gently stepping back to have some time to focus on bringing up my family. While I take a short break from my own offerings in psychotherapy and massage, I am pleased to leave you in the safe and capable hands of a specifically selected team who offer a wide range of services and skills.
Please take the time to look at our experienced therapists, and remember to leave us a review of your positive experience so others can benefit and learn to trust us too.
I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
